Culture Brothers was formed by Karma who is Tibetan and Carl who is Yup’ik.
Tibet was a large independent country in the Himalayan area. For centuries Tibetans have been studying the mind, achieving a peaceful way of life and developing a unique culture. In 1959 Tibet was subjugated by Chinese Communists. Since then Tibetans are suffering lack of freedom, lack of human rights and their culture is struggling to keep alive.
Yup’ik is an indigenous Inuit culture from North America and Siberia.
Carl and Karma play music to preserve their cultures, to communicate the values of their people and to defend all cultures present on earth today.
